Plan the trip before booking a full schedule

A productive sourcing trip begins with a product list and decisions to make. You may need to review a custom sample, compare product specifications, check a manufacturing operation or negotiate the next order. These are different goals and should not all be treated as a showroom tour.

Send your travel dates, product categories, quantities, target factory budget and any suppliers you already know. Tell us which products must be seen in person and which can be handled remotely. We propose the visit support and confirm the meeting, transport and translation scope before you travel.

We plan your sourcing trip around Guangzhou and the suppliers relevant to your brief. Any visits outside the city are agreed in advance, with travel time included in the schedule. An itinerary with fewer relevant appointments can be more useful than a crowded list that leaves no time to review samples or write decisions down.

Factory visit, showroom visit or market visit?

A showroom helps you compare styles and finishes. A wholesale market can show stock products and trading options. A factory visit helps you understand the proposed manufacturing operation. These locations answer different questions, so we identify the purpose of each appointment.

Where a supplier sells products made elsewhere, ask where your order will be produced and whether a visit to that location is available. A good showroom does not by itself establish factory capability. If formal verification or an audit is required, define that assignment separately.

Explore supplier sourcing and verification.

What to review at the supplier meeting

  • The exact product, material and finish being quoted.
  • Sample differences and custom-development work still required.
  • Minimum quantities, tooling charges and packaging options.
  • Production capacity relevant to your order and proposed timing.
  • Inspection access, defect handling and release approval.
  • Packing dimensions, spare parts and shipping arrangements.

Translation should help resolve the commercial details, not simply make conversation easier. We support communication and organize follow-up points within the agreed assignment. You approve the supplier, product and commercial terms; the meeting itself should not become an unrecorded purchase decision.

Review furniture for a commercial order

For a furniture project, prepare item codes, quantities, dimensions and finish references before arriving. Large showrooms can be distracting if you have no way to compare each selection with the room schedule or order budget. Record supplier details, product codes and the quoted construction for every item you seriously consider.

Custom furniture may require factory drawings, finish samples and a prototype after the visit. A trip can narrow the options without resolving every production detail. Do not assume a display unit proves that the same materials and construction are included in the quotation.

Our furniture and hotel procurement service connects the visit to item schedules, sample approvals and multi-supplier follow-up.

Keep the buying work moving when you return home

The most valuable output of a trip is a usable decision record: what you saw, what you selected, what remains open and what the supplier must quote or revise. If included in your assignment, we organize meeting notes and coordinate the next supplier responses.

After the trip, sample approval, drawings, purchase terms and production timing still need attention. Our Guangzhou team can continue as your order management contact, with inspections and shipping added to the agreed project scope.

Airport pickup, local transport and accommodation assistance can be discussed as part of visit planning, consistent with our existing travel-support offer. Availability, inclusions and charges are confirmed for the dates. Flights, visas and other travel requirements remain your responsibility unless a specific support task is agreed.

Factory visit and sourcing-trip questions

Can you visit a factory on my behalf?

Yes, a remote factory visit or defined verification assignment can be discussed. Send the supplier location and the questions you need answered, so the scope is specific.

Can you provide translation and local transport?

Yes, these form part of our existing visit support. Languages, meeting schedule, vehicle requirements and charges are confirmed for the assignment.

Should I place orders during the visit?

A visit can help you select suppliers, but production specifications, samples, payment terms and import requirements still need clear approval. We help record what remains to be completed.

We work with established businesses placing large wholesale and manufacturing orders. The current minimum factory order budget for sourcing and order management is US$30,000; our service fee is separate. Factory visit and inspection assignments are scoped individually.
